K-WAY® — FRENCH Athleisure Brand
The K-Way® brand was created in Paris in 1965. On a rainy day, clothes retailer Léon-Claude Duhamel observed as people rushed by in soaking wet clothes, with uncomfortable umbrellas in their hands. And he had an insight: creating a waterproof object that could be carried all times, but which was neither an umbrella nor a raincoat.
K-WAY® is the synonym of the waterproof and windproof jacket par excellence, the one that folds up into its pocket with its highly recognizable three-color tape. K-WAY® is a registered trademark in Italian and French dictionaries, and one of the “disruptive” brands defined by the prestigious Forbes magazine, such as Barbie®, Lego® and Nutella®.
FIRST K-WAY® LABEL FROM ITS ORIGIN
The Le Vrai™ label embodies the history of the K-WAY® brand from its origins and transformed into a contemporary aesthetic. Le Vrai is the collection for the outdoor life that could be easily mixed with other fancy or sporty clothes. In line with the values of the K-WAY® brand: classic, contemporary, colourful, and functional.
CLASSIC COLORED K-WAY® LOGO
The new Klassic label is identified by the use of the classic colored K-WAY® logo, distinguishing it from the Premiere label. A rigorous style, classic forms, and practical, functional fabrics make K-WAY® Klassic products timeless items, ideal for everyday use, on any occasion.
THE TOP END OF K-WAY® COLLECTION
K-WAY® introduced the R&D label in 2016, a haute couture collection of K-WAY® with sophisticated designs as the result of stylistic research and the use of cutting edge materials.
After years of evolution, K-Way explores ways to collaborate with fashion brands – Fendi, Saint Laurent, Marc Jacobs and Comme des Garçons in recent years. Through other collaborations with champagne brand Veuve Clicquot and Italian Supermodel Mariacarla Boscono, bring in more creative possibilities.
